How to Use the Ensemble Video Mobile App (iOS)

Ensemble Video AppThis article will show
 users how to use the Ensemble Video iOS application. Ensemble Video's mobile app lets you record, manage and publish your video content from your iPhone or iPad.  Additionally, students can record and submit video assignments through the mobile app. Note: To use the Ensemble Video iOS App your Ensemble Video version must be 5.3 x17 or higher.

Ensemble Video Users (users with an account)

Search in App StoreDownload App

Go the the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and search for "Ensemble Video." This will connect you with the correct app in the App Store. Tap Get to install the app.

Login ProcessLogin In

1 - Enter URL:
To login to the app, enter your Ensemble Video URL and tap the Continue button. The app will direct you to your login screen.

2 - Enter Username and Password:
Enter your username and password and click Login.

Note: Users will need Contributor permission (or above) to manage, record, upload and publish content.

1 - Upload:
Use the Upload Icon in the Library area to Upload or Record video using the Camera or Gallery.

2 - Upload:
Use the Plus Icon in the Library area to Upload or Record video using the Camera or Gallery.

3 - Record:
Use the Record Button to Record video using the Camera.

4 - Gallery:
Tap the Gallery Tab to select a video from the Camera Gallery. 

5 - Trim:
Users can Trim the Start and End points of the video prior to uploading. Just drag the Black Handles on video trimming interface, then tap Next.

6 - Title and Description:
Users can add a Title and Description.

7 - Upload:
Tap Upload to upload the video to Ensemble Video.

 

Library OptionsLibrary

The library area allows users to view, search and manage their content.

1 - Search
Enter a search term to search the title and tap search to search the library.

2 - View
Tap on the video thumbnail to view the content in the mobile app.

3 - Manage
Tap on the dots icon for each video to:

  • Edit: Edit the Title and Description for the content.
  • Publish: Publish (or unpublish) to one or more Playlists.
  • Download Offline: The content will be added to the Downloads area in the mobile app for offline viewing.
  • Delete: Delete content from the Library area.
  • Cancel: Return to the preview screen. 

 

Playlists Playlists

The playlist area allows users to add, view videos and manage their Playlists.

1 - Manage: Tap on the Dots icon for each playlist to:

  • Edit: Edit the Title of the Playlist.
  • View All: View the video playlist in the mobile app.
  • Delete: Delete the Playlist from the Playlist area.
  • Cancel: Return to the preview screen.

2- View: Tap on the video thumbnail to view the content in the mobile app.

3 - Add: Use the Plus Icon in the Playlist area to create a new Playlist. Additionally, users can enable/disable downloads.

 


 

DropboxDropbox

The Dropbox area allows users to view Dropbox video submissions and manage their Ensemble Video Dropbox boxes.

1 - Manage: Tap on the dots icon for each video to:

  • Edit: Edit the Title and Description for the Dropbox.
  • View All: View the Dropbox video submissions in the mobile app.
  • Share: Share the Dropbox using text messaging, email or other platforms.
  • Delete: Delete the Dropbox from the Dropbox area.
  • Cancel: Return to the preview screen.

2 - View: Tap on the video Thumbnail to view the content in the mobile app.

3 - Submitter Information: The Video title and submitter will be displayed below the video thumbnail. 

 

DownloadsDownloads

The Downloads area allows users to view videos that have been downloaded for offline viewing. 

View: Tap on the video Thumbnail to view the video content in the mobile app.

Manage: Tap on the dots icon for each video to:

  • Remove: Remove the video from the Downloads area.
  • Cancel: Return to the preview screen.

Note: You can download files by going to the Library area and choose Download for Offline Viewing in the Manage options for the video. 

 

 



 

SettingsSettings

The Settings area allows users to access the app settings:

1 - Profile: Tap on the Profile tab to view User Details and modify User Settings.  

2- QR Code Scanner: Tap on the QR Code Scanner tab to scan an Ensemble Video Dropbox QR Code for uploading content to a Dropbox  

3- Logout: Tap on the Logout icon to Logout.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Search in App Store

Students (or users with no account)

Download App

Option 1: Search for the App in the App Store

Go the the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and search for "Ensemble Video." This will connect you with the correct app in the App Store. Tap Get to install the app.

QR Code Download

Option 2: Scan the QR Code from Ensemble Video Dropbox

If you are a Student (or users with no account) that has access to an Ensemble Video Dropbox, you can Scan the QR  Code on their computer screen to Download the Ensemble Video mobile app.

1 - Choose Mobile App Tab: Navigate to the Mobile App tab in the Ensemble Video Dropbox.

2 - Download: Click on Download.

3 - Scan QR Code: Just point your camera or QR Code reader at the QR code on your computer screen and you will be redirected to Ensemble Video app in the App Store.

1 - Don't have an account or URL:
After opening Ensemble Video go to the bottom of the app screen and tap on Don't have an account? Enter Here

2 - Scan QR code to Upload:
Next tap on the Scan QR Code to Upload button on the mobile app.

Scan QR Code to Upload to Ensemble Video Dropbox

Students (or users with no account) can Scan the QR  Code on your computer screen to configure the Ensemble Video mobile app.

1 - Choose Mobile App Tab: Navigate to the Mobile App tab in the Ensemble Video Dropbox.

2 - Configure: Click on Configure.

3 - Scan QR Code: Just point your camera or QR Code reader at the QR code on their computer screen and you will be given an Authorization code.

4 - Authorize Device: Please Enter the Authorization Code in the Dropbox configuration text field. You will then be able to Upload or Record.
